Ingredients

1 lb penne pasta (or your preferred pasta)

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 smoked turkey sausages, sliced (or turkey Andouille sausage for extra spice)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 small onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 cup heavy cream (or a lighter cream alternative)

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions

Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the sliced turkey sausage and cook until browned.

Add the diced onion, garlic, and red bell pepper; sauté until softened.

Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.

Add the Parmesan cheese, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, then toss in the pasta until fully coated in the sauce.

Garnish with fresh parsley and more Parmesan before serving.
