Description

This Ground Beef Stroganoff is a fast and flavorful twist on the classic comfort dish — tender egg noodles smothered in a rich, creamy mushroom sauce with seasoned ground beef. Ready in just 30 minutes, it’s the ultimate weeknight dinner for the whole family

Ingredients

  • 6 oz egg noodles

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook Noodles:
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Brown Beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and mushrooms, cook 2 minutes. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.

  3. Make Sauce:
Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture and stir to coat. Slowly pour in beef broth, stirring constantly until thickened (about 3–5 minutes).

  4. Add Creaminess:
Stir in sour cream and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer on low for 2 minutes.

  5. Combine and Serve:
Add cooked noodles into the skillet and toss to coat. Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use full-fat sour cream.

  • Substitute Greek yogurt for a lighter version.

  • Add a dash of paprika or mustard for extra depth.
