Description

CrockPot Smothered Pork Chops are a hearty, comforting slow cooker dish featuring tender bone-in pork chops simmered in a creamy mushroom gravy with onions and garlic. This easy, hands-off recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners or cozy weekend meals the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 onion, thinly sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Season pork chops with salt and pepper.

  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and sear pork chops for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Transfer to the CrockPot.

  • In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic for 2–3 minutes until softened.

  • In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, and Worcestershire sauce.

  • Add sautéed onions and garlic to the CrockPot, then pour the soup mixture over the pork chops.

  • Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until pork chops are tender.

  • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles, spooning gravy over the top.

Notes

  • Bone-in pork chops yield juicier results, but boneless can be used as well.

  • Add sliced mushrooms for extra depth and texture.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; reheat gently to preserve moisture.
