Ingredients

1 lb beef stew meat, cut into small pieces

1 tbsp oil

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

4 cups beef broth

2 cups water

2 carrots, sliced

2 celery stalks, sliced

1 tsp dried thyme

1 1/2 cups egg noodles

Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, heat oil over medium-high heat and brown the beef pieces.

Add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant.

Pour in beef broth and water. Stir in sliced carrots, celery, and thyme.

Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30–40 minutes, until beef is tender.
