Description

This hearty Sausage, Rich Gravy, and Biscuit Pie is the ultimate comfort food! Perfect for breakfast or brunch, it combines savory sausage gravy and fluffy biscuits in one easy-to-make, soul-warming casserole everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage (pork or breakfast sausage)

  • 2 cups milk

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count) or homemade biscuit dough

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted (for brushing)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled. Do not drain all the fat.

  • Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir to coat.

  • Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly, until a thick gravy forms. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.

  • Pour the sausage gravy into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

  • Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and place the pieces on top of the gravy.

  • Brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter.

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.

  • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra richness, add shredded cheddar cheese over the gravy before topping with biscuits.

  • Use spicy sausage if you prefer a little heat.

  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated easily for a quick meal.
