Description

These Rolled Baked Ham and Cheese bites are the perfect easy-to-make appetizer or snack. With buttery crescent roll dough, savory ham, and gooey Swiss cheese, they’re ideal for brunches, parties, or quick dinners. Discover how to make this crowd-pleasing, bite-sized comfort food in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

For the Rolls:

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls (8-count)

  • 4 thin slices deli ham, cut into strips

  • 8 thin slices Swiss cheese (or your favorite melting cheese)

Optional Add-Ins:

  • Fresh spinach leaves or arugula

  • Dijon mustard (for spreading on the ham)

  • Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

  • Melted butter (for brushing dough edges)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. Prepare the Crescent Rolls:
Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Optionally, brush dough edges with melted butter.

  3. Assemble the Rolls:
Place a ham strip on the wide end of each dough triangle. Top with a slice of cheese. Add optional Dijon mustard or spinach if desired. Roll tightly from the wide end, tucking the point underneath.

  4. Arrange on Baking Sheet:
Place rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet, spacing 1 inch apart. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if using.

  5. Bake:
Bake in preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is bubbling. Rotate pan halfway through.

  6. Serve and Enjoy:
Let cool slightly. Serve warm with toothpicks or alongside a salad, soup, or fruit platter.

Notes

  • Keep ham and cheese slices thin to ensure easy rolling.

  • Mix up the cheese types—cheddar, mozzarella, or Gruyère are all great options.

  • For extra flavor, mustard or greens add a gourmet twist.
