Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, beat together the peanut butter, softened butter, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.

Add the vanilla extract and eggs, beating until fully combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir into the wet ingredients.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan.

Bake for 22–25 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out with just a few moist crumbs.

Let cool before slicing into bars.

Notes

  • For extra decadence, sprinkle flaky sea salt on top after baking.

  • Substitute chocolate chips with peanut butter chips or a combo of both!

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or freeze for longer storage.
