Description

These Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are soft, chewy, and packed with rich peanut butter flavor and gooey chocolate chips. Perfect for bake sales, after-school snacks, or peanut butter lovers everywhere—easy to make and impossible to resist!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.

  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until fully combined. Stir in chocolate chips.

  • Spread dough evenly into prepared pan and smooth the top.

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

  • Cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

  • Add chopped peanuts for extra crunch.

  • Swap semisweet chips with milk or dark chocolate for variety.

  • These bars freeze well for up to 3 months.
