With flaky layers and a simple sugar glaze, these cruffins deliver the sweet, fruity taste of peach pie in a fun and easy-to-make pastry form — perfect for brunch or a sweet snack.
Ingredients
For the Cruffins:
-
3 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent dough
-
1 cup peach preserves (with visible fruit pieces for texture)
-
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
-
1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
-
1-2 tablespoons milk or cream (to thin glaze, as needed)
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
-
Unroll crescent dough and separate each can into two rectangles (press perforations to seal), making 6 rectangles total.
-
Spread each rectangle with peach preserves and sprinkle evenly with cinnamon.
-
Roll up each rectangle from the short end, jelly-roll style, then cut each roll in half lengthwise.
-
Twist each half into a spiral and coil into a muffin cup, cut side up, creating layers.
-
Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
-
While cruffins cool slightly, prepare glaze by whisking powdered sugar with milk or cream until smooth.
-
Drizzle glaze over warm cruffins before serving.
Notes
-
Use high-quality preserves for the best fruity flavor.
-
Cruffins are best enjoyed warm but can be reheated gently in the oven.
-
Optional: Dust with cinnamon sugar for added texture and flavor.
