1 lb smoked sausage, sliced or cut into bite-sized chunks

1 cup uncooked white rice

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt & black pepper, to taste

2 cups chicken or vegetable broth

½ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
Ingredients

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes.

Stir in the garlic powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Add the uncooked rice and stir to coat with the spices and sausage juices.

Pour in the broth and BBQ sauce, stirring well to combine.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed.

Fluff rice with a fork and serve hot.
