Description

Sweet, savory, and irresistibly satisfying, this Maple Glazed Chicken with Crispy Bacon combines tender chicken breasts, a smoky maple glaze, and crunchy bacon bits for the ultimate comfort dish. Perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions, it’s a delicious twist on classic glazed chicken. Ideal for fans of sweet and savory chicken recipes, maple bacon meals, and easy skillet dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breast fillets

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

  • 4 slices bacon, chopped

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp butter, divided

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken: Pat chicken breasts dry. Season flour with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Dredge chicken in the seasoned flour.

  • Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

  • Sear the Chicken: In the same skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter. Add floured chicken breasts and sear for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.

  • Make the Glaze: Add remaining butter, maple syrup, soy sauce, and garlic powder to the skillet. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Combine and Serve: Return chicken and bacon to the skillet. Spoon glaze over chicken, cook for 1–2 minutes more to coat.

  • Garnish: Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Great with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.

  • Substitute boneless thighs for a juicier alternative.

  • Add a dash of chili flakes for a spicy-sweet kick.
