Description

Cool down with this refreshing homemade peach ice cream made with fresh peaches, creamy dairy, and a touch of vanilla. Perfect for summer, this no-fuss ice cream delivers rich flavor and silky smooth texture with every scoop!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and chopped (or use frozen if out of season)

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, to enhance peach flavor)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is fully dissolved.

  2. In a blender or food processor, puree the peaches (reserving a few chunks for texture if desired). Stir in the lemon juice.

  3. Combine the peach puree with the cream mixture and stir well.

  4. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until fully cold.

  5. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20–25 minutes).

  6. Once churned, transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

  7. Scoop and enjoy your homemade peach ice cream!

Notes

  • If peaches are overly juicy, strain slightly before pureeing to avoid an icy texture.

  • Add a splash of bourbon for a Southern twist!

  • For chunkier texture, fold in small peach chunks after churning.
