Description
Cool down with this refreshing homemade peach ice cream made with fresh peaches, creamy dairy, and a touch of vanilla. Perfect for summer, this no-fuss ice cream delivers rich flavor and silky smooth texture with every scoop!
Ingredients
-
2 cups heavy cream
-
1 cup whole milk
-
3/4 cup granulated sugar
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and chopped (or use frozen if out of season)
-
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, to enhance peach flavor)
Instructions
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is fully dissolved.
-
In a blender or food processor, puree the peaches (reserving a few chunks for texture if desired). Stir in the lemon juice.
-
Combine the peach puree with the cream mixture and stir well.
-
Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until fully cold.
-
Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20–25 minutes).
-
Once churned, transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
-
Scoop and enjoy your homemade peach ice cream!
Notes
-
If peaches are overly juicy, strain slightly before pureeing to avoid an icy texture.
-
Add a splash of bourbon for a Southern twist!
-
For chunkier texture, fold in small peach chunks after churning.
