Description

This easy Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteak recipe brings all the savory, cheesy flavors of the classic sandwich to your kitchen in a simple, family-friendly way. Quick to prepare and irresistibly tasty, it’s a perfect lunch or dinner option that will quickly become a household favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 green bell pepper, diced

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 4 hoagie rolls or sandwich buns

  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and peppers and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.

  • Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

  • Season with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.

  • Lower heat and place provolone slices over the beef mixture. Cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  • Toast hoagie rolls if desired, then spoon the cheesy beef mixture into the rolls.

  • Serve hot with chips, fries, or a salad.

Notes

  • Substitute provolone with mozzarella or American cheese.

  • Add mushrooms or spicy peppers for extra flavor.

  • Great for meal prep or quick weeknight dinners.
