1 can cherry pie filling

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until combined. Slowly stir in boiling water.

Divide batter between the pans and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread cherry pie filling on top.
