Description

Indulge in the perfect balance of bold cherry flavor and rich chocolate with this Crimson Choco Rhapsody Ice Cream! Creamy, dreamy, and packed with real cherry puree and chocolate chips, this homemade ice cream is a decadent treat for any occasion

Ingredients

2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup cherry puree (blend fresh or frozen cherries until smooth)
1 cup chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate)
1 cup cherries, pitted and halved

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Base

1️⃣ In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
2️⃣ Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and cherry puree. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Step 2: Chill the Mixture

3️⃣ Cover and refrigerate the base for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to enhance the flavors.

Step 3: Churn the Ice Cream

4️⃣ Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
5️⃣ When the ice cream is almost set, fold in chocolate chips and cherry halves for bursts of flavor.

Step 4: Freeze & Serve

6️⃣ Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
7️⃣ Scoop and enjoy your Crimson Choco Rhapsody Ice Cream with extra chocolate shavings or a cherry on top!

Notes

  • No ice cream maker? Use the freeze-and-stir method: Pour the mixture into a shallow dish, freeze, and stir every 30 minutes until creamy.
  • For a boozy twist, add 1 tbsp kirsch (cherry liqueur) to the base before churning.
  • Swap chocolate chips for chocolate chunks for a more intense bite!
