Description

These Creamy Garlic Parmesan Mushrooms are a rich and indulgent side dish featuring tender sautéed mushrooms in a luscious garlic-infused cream sauce with parmesan and cream cheese. Perfect for weeknight dinners, holiday meals, or served over steak or pasta for added elegance and flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 8 ounces white mushrooms (whole or sliced)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Sauté the Mushrooms:
Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and garlic, sautéing until mushrooms are tender and fragrant, about 6–8 minutes.

  • Make the Sauce:
Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, and cream cheese to the skillet. Stir continuously until cheeses melt and sauce becomes smooth and creamy.

  • Season:
Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently for another 2–3 minutes, allowing flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.

  • Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle fresh chopped parsley over the top and serve hot as a side dish or over grilled meats, pasta, or mashed potatoes.

Notes

  • Cremini or baby bella mushrooms can be substituted for deeper flavor.

  • Add a splash of white wine before the cream for extra richness.

  • Can be made ahead and gently reheated on the stovetop.
