Description

These Chicken Wonton Tacos are a crispy, flavorful fusion of Asian and Mexican cuisines! Tender chicken tossed in stir fry sauce and sesame ginger dressing is tucked into crispy wonton shells for the ultimate bite-sized appetizer or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into small pieces

  • 1/2 cup stir fry sauce

  • 1/4 cup sesame ginger dressing

  • 12-16 wonton wrappers

  • 1 cup shredded coleslaw mix

  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions

  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

  • Cooking spray or oil, for baking/frying

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin.

  • Press wonton wrappers into the cups of the muffin tin to form small taco shells. Bake for 6–8 minutes or until golden and crispy. Let cool.

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chicken pieces until no longer pink.

  • Add stir fry sauce and sesame ginger dressing to the chicken, stirring to coat evenly. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.

  • Fill each wonton shell with cooked chicken.

  • Top with coleslaw mix, green onions, cilantro, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

  • Serve immediately for the crispiest texture!

Notes

  • You can also fry the wonton wrappers for a super crispy taco shell if preferred.

  • Add a little extra sesame ginger dressing over the top for extra flavor.

  • These make amazing party appetizers or a fun weeknight dinner!
