Description

Chicken with Garlic Parmesan Rice is a rich and satisfying one-pan dish that combines tender chicken tenders with buttery, garlicky rice, finished with savory Parmesan cheese. Simple to make and full of flavor, this comfort meal is ideal for busy nights or family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 stick butter (1/2 cup)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice (or jasmine rice for extra flavor)

  • 2 cups water

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Optional: chopped parsley, for garnish


Instructions

  • Season chicken tenders with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sear chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through (about 3–4 minutes per side). Remove from skillet and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Stir in the uncooked rice and toast for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently.

  • Pour in the water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18–20 minutes, or until rice is tender and water is absorbed.

  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and combined. Return chicken to the pan and heat through.

  • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm


Notes

  • For extra richness, replace 1 cup of water with chicken broth.

  • Add a dash of red pepper flakes for subtle heat.

  • Great with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
