Description

Savor the rich, creamy elegance of Chicken in Boursin Sauce with Garlic and Fine Herbs. Tender chicken breasts are bathed in a luxurious sauce made from Boursin cheese, garlic, and cream—perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 shallot, finely chopped

  • 1 package (5.2 oz) Boursin cheese with garlic and fine herbs

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  • Optional: a squeeze of fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  • Season chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • Add shallot and garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until aromatic.

  • Reduce heat, then stir in Boursin cheese, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Stir until smooth and creamy.

  • Return chicken to skillet and simmer for 5–7 minutes, basting with sauce.

  • Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and lemon juice if using.

  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for cream.

  • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.

  • Leftovers reheat well and can be used in pasta or wraps.
