Ingredients
For the Casserole:

1 (32 oz) bag frozen hash browns, thawed

1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup

1 cup sour cream

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup melted butter

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: 1/2 cup chopped onions or green onions

Optional topping: 1 cup crushed cornflakes or Ritz crackers + 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, combine thawed hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheese, melted butter, and onions if using. Season with salt and pepper.

Transfer to dish: Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

Optional topping: Mix crushed cornflakes (or crackers) with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.

Bake: Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, or until hot and bubbly with a golden top.
