Description

This cheesy crab Rangoon dip is a rich, creamy appetizer inspired by your favorite takeout treat. Packed with crab meat, cream cheese, and melty mozzarella, it’s the ultimate dip for crackers, wonton chips, or veggies – perfect for parties and game days!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 1/2 cups crab meat, shredded (or imitation crab)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 green onions, chopped

  • Optional: 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 tsp pepper, dash of hot sauce

  • Garnish: extra green onions or chives

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or cast-iron skillet.

In a large bowl, mix softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream until smooth.

Fold in crab meat, mozzarella, cheddar, garlic, and green onions.

Add optional Worcestershire sauce, pepper, or hot sauce for extra depth.

Spread the mixture evenly in the baking dish.

Bake for 20–25 minutes or until hot, bubbly, and golden on top.

Garnish with green onions and serve warm with wonton chips, crackers, or sliced baguette.

Notes

  • For a smoky kick, add a sprinkle of smoked paprika or use pepper jack cheese.

  • Make ahead: assemble up to a day in advance, then bake before serving.

  • Turn it into a cold dip by skipping the bake and serving chilled!
