Description

Cheesesteak Tortellini in Rich Provolone Sauce is the ultimate fusion of classic Philly cheesesteak flavors and cozy pasta comfort. Featuring tender beef, caramelized onions, and cheese-filled tortellini all smothered in a creamy provolone sauce, this quick and hearty dish is perfect for weeknights or indulgent weekends.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 large onion, sliced

  • 1 pound beef steak, cubed

  • 1 package (12 oz) cheese tortellini

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Cook the Tortellini: Boil tortellini per package directions, then drain and set aside.

  • Caramelize the Onions: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook for 5–7 minutes until soft and golden.

  • Cook the Beef: Add cubed steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 6–8 minutes until browned and cooked through.

  • Make the Sauce: Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.

  • Add the Cheese: Lower the heat, add provolone, and stir until the cheese melts into a rich sauce.

  • Combine with Tortellini: Add cooked tortellini and stir gently to coat with sauce.

  • Serve: Serve hot, garnished with extra provolone if desired.

Notes

  • For extra cheesiness, mix in mozzarella or a cheese blend.

  • Ribeye works wonderfully for flavor, but sirloin is a leaner choice.

  • Serve with a green salad or crusty bread for a full meal.
