Ingredients

For the Cajun Salmon:

  • 2 salmon fillets

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, for caramelization)

For the Garlic Butter Shrimp:

  • 500 g large shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

For the Roasted Broccoli:

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • Prepare the Salmon:

    • Pat salmon fillets dry and rub with Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Sear salmon skin-side down for 4 minutes, flip, and cook another 3–4 minutes.

    • Add butter and honey for caramelization during the last minute.

  • Cook the Shrimp:

    • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

    • Add shrimp, seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

    • Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

    • Add butter, garlic, lemon juice, and parsley. Stir until coated.

  • Roast the Broccoli:

    • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

    • Toss broccoli with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

    • Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 20–25 minutes until crisp-tender.

  • Assemble:

    • Plate salmon and shrimp with roasted broccoli. Drizzle with extra garlic butter if desired.
