Description

This Cajun Honey Pork Tenderloin recipe is a bold and flavorful dish that brings together sweet honey and spicy Cajun seasoning in a juicy, oven-roasted pork tenderloin. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a special occasion!

Ingredients

  • 2 pork tenderloins (about 1 1/2 lbs each)

  • 2-3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1/4 cup honey (or substitute with agave or maple syrup)

  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Prepare the Pork: Pat the pork tenderloins dry, then rub them thoroughly with Cajun seasoning on all sides.

  3. Sear the Pork: In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork on all sides, about 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Transfer pork to a plate.

  4. Make the Honey Sauce: In the same skillet, add butter, honey, and chicken broth. Stir and simmer until butter is melted and the sauce is well combined.

  5. Roast the Pork: Return pork to the skillet. Spoon some sauce over the top and transfer skillet to the oven. Roast for 18 minutes or until pork reaches 155°F (68°C) internally.

  6. Reduce the Sauce: Remove pork to a plate and let rest 5–10 minutes. Simmer the sauce on the stove for 2–3 minutes to thicken.

  7. Slice and Serve: Slice pork and drizzle with the reduced sauce. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • You can adjust the heat by using more or less Cajun seasoning.

  • Substitute honey with agave or maple syrup for a different sweetness profile.

  • Great served with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or cornbread.
