Description

This Biscuits & Gravy Casserole is a comforting and satisfying Southern-style breakfast recipe layered with sausage, eggs, cheese, and rich gravy. Easy to prepare and perfect for brunch, meal prep, or feeding a hungry crowd!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage

  • 1 1/2 ounces pork gravy mix (1 package Pioneer Brand Peppered Sausage Gravy Mix)

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 6 eggs

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • Salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits (not listed but typically used – about 8 biscuits)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.

  • Prepare the sausage gravy according to the package instructions.

  • Cut biscuits into quarters and spread evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.

  • Top with cooked sausage, then pour the prepared gravy over the sausage.

  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour evenly over the casserole.

  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.

  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the biscuits are golden and cooked through.

  • Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can prep this the night before and bake in the morning.

  • Use spicy sausage or add hot sauce for a kick.

  • Try adding chopped green onions or sautéed peppers for extra flavor.
