2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
1/2 cup brown sugar
-
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
8-10 strips of bacon
-
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional for a smoky flavor)
-
Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.
-
Slice the chicken breasts into strips or tender-sized pieces.
-
Season the chicken strips with kosher salt, pepper, and smoked paprika (if using).
-
Wrap each chicken strip with a slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
-
Roll the bacon-wrapped chicken in brown sugar, coating evenly.
-
Place the coated chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
-
Bake for 25–30 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is cooked through.
-
Broil for 1–2 minutes at the end for extra crispiness if desired.
-
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
-
Use thick-cut bacon for a meatier bite, or thin-cut for a crispier texture.
-
Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the brown sugar for a sweet-and-spicy kick.
-
These are great served with ranch, honey mustard, or BBQ sauce for dipping.
