Description

Take your chicken tenders to the next level with this irresistible air-fried honey butter garlic recipe! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a sticky, sweet-savory glaze—these tenders are the ultimate comfort food with a flavorful twist. A perfect balance of texture and taste, all made healthier with the air fryer!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • Cooking spray

For the Honey Butter Garlic Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a shallow dish, mix flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika.

  • In a second bowl, beat the egg. Place panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

  • Dredge each chicken tender in the flour mixture, then dip in egg, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.

  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange tenders in a single layer and spray tops with more cooking spray.

  • Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through.

  • While the chicken cooks, combine honey, melted butter, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 3–4 minutes.

  • Once the tenders are done, toss them in the warm honey butter garlic sauce or drizzle it over just before serving.

Notes

  • For extra heat, increase the red pepper flakes or add a dash of hot sauce to the glaze.

  • Use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs to make this recipe gluten-free.

  • Serve with a side of rice or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
