Ingredients
-
1 lb chicken tenders
-
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
1/2 teaspoon paprika
-
1 large egg
-
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
-
Cooking spray
For the Honey Butter Garlic Sauce:
-
1/2 cup honey
-
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tablespoon soy sauce
-
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
-
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
-
In a shallow dish, mix flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
-
In a second bowl, beat the egg. Place panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
-
Dredge each chicken tender in the flour mixture, then dip in egg, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
-
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange tenders in a single layer and spray tops with more cooking spray.
-
Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
-
While the chicken cooks, combine honey, melted butter, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 3–4 minutes.
-
Once the tenders are done, toss them in the warm honey butter garlic sauce or drizzle it over just before serving.
Notes
-
For extra heat, increase the red pepper flakes or add a dash of hot sauce to the glaze.
